5 Dec

52cm Bianchi Volpe in sparkly forest green with silver grey decals, tubes are the Bianchi double butted Lite Steel exclusive and the forks are Cromoly. There are 3 pairs of braze ons on the forks, 1 pair mid way down the fork blades and 2 pairs on the fork tips. On the rear drops there is a pair and a pair on the upper part of the seat stay. Room for 3 water bottles and a metal tab for a pump under the top tube. Frame set has plenty of options for racks and fenders for commuting or long hauling. Great looking frame set that is ding free and only has a couple of paints chips in the usual spots. Below is a detailed list of the components used to build this bomber ride up!

Wheelset is a brand new pair of Mavic CXP rims laced to a pair of Formula hubs anodized grey, front is 24h and rear is 28h, stainless spokes, matching skewers and new rim strips, tubes and tires, Ritchey Speed Max Pro cross tires 700×32.

Drive train is a complete Shimano 600 Tri-color 8 speed double, cranks, front der and rear der with new Sram 12t-26t cassette and a newer Shimano HG narrow chain. Cranks are 53t/38t and are 172.5 in length with new Shimano sealed BB. Shifters are a sweet pair of Shimano 6400 STI’s that have been rebuilt and repacked with new Lithium grease for clean crisp shifting for years to come.

Brake set is a pair of Shimano Deore XT cantis with new Swiss Stop pads, stops on a dime.

Other parts include standard Tange headset that has been freshly packed 1 inch, 1 to 1 1/8 stem converter with Bontrager stem and Bontrager drop road handle bars, Terry Fly saddle, 26.8 seat post, new bar tape and brand new cables and housing.

The first reincarnation of this bike was with the flat bars and a set of old school Suntour top bar shifters that are so so sweet, it also had the matching brake pulls. No one was interested in the bike with that set up so I switched her over to drop bars and STI’s and she flew out the door.
