4 Dec

’87 Miyata 712 53cm, this is a triple butted Chro-Mo steel frame and fork built in Japan with nice medium point lugs, braze ons are present on the front and rear drops for rack and/or fenders. Frame is painted Lavender and White, yeah yeah yeah late ’80’s color scheme with rear brake line running down the interior of the top tube. Frame and fork and paint are in great condition. She has been fully overhauled and all bearings repacked with fresh grease and all moving parts cleaned and lubed. She sports the entire Shimano 105 gruppo, hubs, brakes, brake pulls, downtube shifters, derailleurs and crankset. Wheelset is a pair of Shimano 105 hubs laced to a pair Wolber grey anodized box style rims that have been trued and tensioned and wrapped in a pair of new Kenda Koncept road tires with new tubes 700×25. Drive train consists of the Shimano 105 crank set with Rocket chainrings 50t and 38t the rear is a Shimano 13t-28t 6 speed cluster with Shimano 105 derailleurs front and rear and new chain. Brakeset is a pair of Shimano 105 with lightly used brake pads and the matching SLR pulls. Stem and drop bars are Wiii Japanese and a Strong seatpost. Headset is a freshly packed Japanese Hatta anodized black. She sports new Shimano cartridge bottom bracket, cables, housing, bar wrap, lightly used Bianchi saddle.

As you can see from the photos, she started off as a 1X6 then I switched her back to a 2X6 so she would be a more complete road ride or commuter.
